These ornaments are designed to be one-of-a-kind, heirloom ornaments, perfect for gifts (particularly for the person that “has everything”).  Each ornament starts out as a strip of satin, which I then pleat to give it that “accordion” look.  I embroider the fabric, and add any beads.  At that point, I remove the pleating threads, stitch the fabric into a tube, and cinch it around a Styrofoam ball.  Altogether, each jumbo ornament takes about 30 hours to complete (not including gluing time).
