Columbine
This framed piece is a detailed exploration of the Columbine flower.
Sandy Potentilla
This piece is based off of a photograph I took, along the beach. I was really pleased with how the shadows turned out.
Lake Ontario: Introspection
This piece is based off a photo I took from Bronte, ON, looking towards Hamilton. It was a November day, and the sky was roiling, but the water was very still. The challenge I gave myself, was to see if I could convey the difference in those textures, while using the same fibres.
Autumn Embers
I was walking down a gravel road, one autumn day, and was startled by what looked like a flame in the middle of the road. The photo I took at that moment became the basis for this piece.
Degrees of Separation
This piece explores the concept of Six Degrees of Separation, and the thought that as connections are increasingly removed from ourselves, those people become increasingly abstract to us.
Sunset on Little Tub
This piece was based on a photo I took overlooking Little Tub Harbour in Tobermory, ON
Monarch Caterpillar
This piece is part of a diptych, donated to Toronto Western General Hospital.
Monarch Metamorphosis
This piece is part of a diptych, donated to Toronto Western General Hospital.
Orange Lichen
This piece is based on a photograph I took, of orange lichen on a rock, in Tobermory, ON. I was fascinated by the structures of the lichen, particularly the little sprouts that looked like toadstools. To date, this is my husband's favourite piece. Please don't buy it.
